Dawn Oliver has been announced as the new Vice Chair of Worcester Theatres.
Having supported the charity since 2011 and served a total of 11 years on the Board, Dawn has become an integral part of the organisation, bringing extensive experience in law and governance. She replaces Roger Knight, who has held the Vice Chair position since 2023.
A private client partner and director at Lodders Solicitors LLP in Worcester since 2024, Dawn previously spent more than 27 years as a partner at Harrison Clark Rickerbys Ltd. She has over 36 years’ experience in law, having graduated from the University of Huddersfield and the University of Law in Chester.
Alongside her legal career, Dawn also serves as a trustee for several grant-making charities. These include the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven, who work with the NHS to provide practical and emotional support to people across Worcestershire with breast care needs, and the Ancient Parish of Ripple Trust, who support people in need within the local community. Dawn also supports the Myriad Centre in Worcester, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) across Worcestershire and the surrounding areas.
Jon Fraser, Chairman of Worcester Theatres said, “I am delighted that Dawn Oliver will support me as Vice Chair of Worcester Theatres. Dawn brings a wealth of experience in law and governance of charity bodies and I’m immensely grateful that she will be filling this role, as we look forward to an exciting time for the organisation.”
Sarah-Jane Morgan, Chief Executive & Artistic Director at Worcester Theatres said, “I am thrilled Dawn has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair for Worcester Theatres. As a consistent tour-de-force on the board, Dawn is thoughtful and generous in supporting the Trustees and myself with invaluable advice and guidance on a wide range of matters. Dawn brings not only legal expertise to the table but also a desire to ensure the organisation has a well governed and bright future ahead as we look towards a new era. I really look forward to working more closely with Dawn as we continue to strengthen our organisations position for the city of Worcester.”
