Worcester Bowling Club presents their Big Bowls Open day on Monday 27th May from 10am until 8pm.

The beautiful game of bowls is yours to experience, have a go for free.

Come and join us for a roll up, food and drinks available all day

Let our team coaches and members teach you how the game is played.

Flat soled shoes required, all other bowls equipment supplied. Just turn up and have a go.

Brief History of WBC

Established in 1867 by five members of the Preceding Arboretum Club, Worcester Bowling Club in Wood Terrace was created and a new green was laid and opened on Monday April 22nd 1867. In 1893 the club Became officially known as Worcester Bowling Club Ltd and purchased more land  on the western side of the present green. In 1899 a pavilion was built and even more land purchased which was opened on July 27th 1899. it was demolished in 1994 when the current Clubhouse was constructed. In 1927 the game was revolutionized from Crown green, and the Club would be recognised as the first Club in Worcestershire to play the rink game on a level green. Shortly afterwards Six local Clubs would form the Worcestershire Bowling Association playing this format. In 1949 The Club Purchased the freehold of the premises Through Mr Walter Jones. The Honourable gentlemen subsequently passed the deeds to the Club. Today the Club Welcomes new and established bowlers from all levels of the game and provides excellent facilities for its members.
