Cast’s John Power: It’s a Finetime for Britpop’s renaissance

John Power, founding member of Cast and former bassist of The La’s, has been a key figure in British music for over three decades. From playing on There She Goes to writing hits like Alright and Finetime, his influence on UK guitar music is lasting.

Cast’s debut All Change became the fastest-selling debut in Polydor’s history, and their success led to tours with legends like Oasis — both in the 90s and again in 2025, when Cast rejoined them on their stadium tour following the critically acclaimed album Love Is The Call.

Now, Power returns with a solo show that brings together stories and songs from across his career — The La’s, Cast, and beyond — performed in intimate venues that showcase his enduring passion for music.
