You’re never too old to start something new.

We’re excited to launch a brand-new Over 60s Taekwon-Do class in Worcester, designed especially for adults aged 60 and above who want to improve their balance, mobility, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Starting on Thursday 16th October 2025, join us every week from 10:45–11:30am at our fully equipped venue on Checketts Lane Trading Estate.

This class is part of our Stronger for Longer programme and offers a unique opportunity for older adults to experience the many benefits of martial arts in a safe, low-impact way.

Taekwon-Do is much more than high kicks and fast moves. When adapted for older adults, it becomes an excellent form of exercise for:

  • Falls prevention – improving stability, posture, and balance

  • Mobility and flexibility – helping joints stay active and strong

  • Cognitive sharpness – learning new patterns and movements boosts memory and focus

  • Confidence and wellbeing – building strength and feeling more secure in everyday life

  • Social connection – meeting new people in a welcoming, small group environment

Led by Sally Gleaves, VI Dan Taekwon-Do Instructor and Level 4 Personal Trainer with nearly 30 years of martial arts experience, this programme is carefully designed to meet the needs of older adults. Sally also specialises in older adult exercise and is completing a Level 2 Certificate in Falls Prevention Awareness, ensuring every session is safe, supportive, and beneficial.
