Worcester Mela Festival will take place on Sunday 5 July 2026, 11am – 7pm, bringing a vibrant celebration of culture, colour and creativity to the city.

Taking place at the University of Worcester City Campus, this free, one-day festival will showcase a rich mix of live music, dance, food, workshops and activities for all ages – uniting communities through shared cultural experiences.

This year, under the national theme Unity in Diversity, Worcester Mela festival marks the start of our celebrations for South Asian Heritage Month with events continuing throughout July through Threads of Unity – our 2026 programme.

Following the festival, the programme will continue with a series of events celebrating South Asian culture, creativity and community, including live performances, creative workshops, food experiences, fashion events and storytelling at venues across Worcester.
