One day challenge:
Not for the faint hearted, take on the St Richard’s Hospice Worcestershire Way challenge, the entire 31 miles in a day! Individually, with friends or get your colleagues together to walk the length of the Worcestershire Way.
Beginning at Bewdley (between 5.45am – 6.30am) on Friday, 12 July, stride out across the wonderful Worcestershire countryside before finishing with the spectacular slopes of the Malvern Hills. A delicious buffet Lunch is provided at The Talbot at Knightwick, plus a sports massage is available to sooth those tired legs. You will also find water-stations and a few marshals along the way! Finish at The Red Lion, Malvern, WR14 4RG
Two day challenge – NEW FOR 2024!
Have you always fancied doing this beautiful route but not in one day? Now’s your chance!
Day 1
- Beginning at Bewdley (between 6.30am – 8am) on Friday, 12 July, drop your bag off (we will take it to the campsite to save you carrying it!), proceed across the wonderful Worcestershire countryside.
- Morning tea and cake is provided in Abberley (10.5 miles)
- You will be able to take your time and enjoy the fantastic surroundings, plus find water stations and marshals along the way
- Finish Day 1 at The Talbot at Knightwick, where a delicious buffet and a sport massage awaits (20 miles). Here you will camp, relax and have the opportunity to shower and make use of the unlimited hot drink station.
- If camping is not your thing – then simply return the next day!
Day 2
- 6.30am: unlimited hot drinks station re – opens
- 7.30am – 8.45am: Hot breakfast baguettes are served to help set you up for the morning!
- Sign out and set off walking between 8–9am, with your belongings packed into the St Richard’s Hospice transport (to take it to Malvern)
- Whilst en route, you will find water-stations and a few marshals to keep you on track and hydrated as you tackle the second day of the challenge.
- Finish the remaining 11 miles with the spectacular slopes of the Malvern Hills and get to The Red Lion, Malvern, WR14 4RG between 12 – 1.30pm
First aid cover is in place for both days.
Please note you you will need to train and familiarise yourself with the route, we suggest doing this in manageable sections at a time prior to the challenge.
