Making a splash to pool their resources

A COUNTY swim school made a splash to help local parents in need this Christmas with a donation to a city baby bank.

Puddle Ducks Worcestershire spread a little festive cheer to Growbaby, a local baby bank which provide parents with much needed baby essentials throughout the local area.

For their annual Christmas campaign, the swim-school which operates lessons throughout Feckenham, Worcester, Barnt Green and Malvern decided to give back to their local community during this difficult time.

Puddle Ducks’ has had to close their pools throughout lockdown, with lessons stopping in March and once again in November, but they did not let that stop them from bringing festive cheer to the community this year.

Growbaby provides much needed baby and child supplies including clothes, nappies, toiletries, accessories, prams, buggies, food, and baby formula, to many parents in the local area who are in need.

Families do not have to be referred to this service, it is free of charge to anyone who needs help.

Owners of Puddle Ducks Worcestershire, Gary and Suzanne Horton said: “We really wanted to give back to our local community this year, as we know it has been an uncertain and troubling time for most.

“Growbaby does a great job supporting local struggling parents and have seen an increase in demand since the pandemic began.

“As parents ourselves who are passionate about childhood development and learning, this charity is close to our heart. We understand the difficulties that come with raising children, especially when the pandemic has brought hardship to many families, and we hope our donation helps.

“Every family deserves to be warm and comfortable this Christmas, to properly enjoy the company of their loved ones and the cheer that the season brings.”
