Singer Isabel Maria releases charity song for MS Society

Isabel Maria’s song ‘Dear Kath’ – available on music platform Bandcamp – will see all of her proceeds raised go to the MS Society.

Her grandmother Kath Johnson suffered from multiple sclerosis from her early 40s and, sadly, by her early 60s she was wheelchair bound.

Kath saw out her days at Perry Manor Care Home in Worcestershire where the family say she received “fantastic support” right up until her death in 2021; in the middle of the Covid epidemic.

The family say that while Kath was a long-time sufferer of MS, she was more importantly “a really special person who never lost her sense of humour and mischief and therefore, Isabel Maria is looking to commemorate her life through the song”.

The song was released on July 5, 2023 – which would have been Kath’s 78th birthday.

“My grandma Kath was such a sunny presence in everyone’s life,” Isabel said.

“It was a privilege to know her and is a privilege now to be able to help a good cause using the love I still hold for her.”

You can name your price for Dear Kath on Bandcamp – 100 per cent of everything earned by Isabel will go directly to MS Society.
