Why were the bells ringing at Worcester Cathedral?

Worcester Cathedral bells were sounding from 10am to 2pm.

The Royal Society of Cumberland Youths were at the landmark building to ring the bells.

A spokesperson for Worcester Cathedral said: “Listen out for the Cathedral bells if you’re in the city today, from 10am – 2pm, as we welcome a visiting band from The Royal Society of Cumberland Youths, who will be attempting a full peal of Spliced Stedman Cinques and Bristol Surprise Maximus for Easter Monday.”

Across the bank holiday weekend, people have been enjoying the warm weather with walks and festivities
