Youngsters treated to festive party

REAL life sleighs and cute Christmas trees were on the timetable as babies and toddlers at an Worcester group marked the countdown to Christmas.

Little learners at TinyTalk Baby Signing and Toddler Talking classes even enjoyed inflatable snowmen to mini elves and cuddly Santas to homemade Christmas puddings, inflatable santa outfits and home-made snowmen.

Hour-long TinyTalk classes full of songs, games, books and sensory activities are followed by playtime and refreshments.

During the class babies and parents are taught signs from British Sign Language to help their little ones communicate before they can speak.

Teacher Mollie Prior said: “At the end of a year like this we were certainly ready to celebrate Christmas like never before.

“We’ve had lots of babies born in lockdown who haven’t been able to socialise or meet other babies this year along with parents who have had minimal support throughout their first few months of parenthood.
