WEST Midland Safari Park is getting ready to host its spectacular Lantern Festival event.
Returning for its second year, the Park will open its gates to evening guests, for selected dates over the Christmas period, from Friday, November 11 2022, until, January 8 2023.
With 50 different lighting scenes, all the lanterns, projectors and interactive displays have a flora and fauna theme, including towering dinosaurs and a snow-covered winter wonderland.
The new trail runs from the entrance to the Park, down to Boj’s Giggly Park playground, then back towards Spring Grove House, finishing in the gardens of the Georgian manor house.
Bethan Davis, PR & Events Officer, said: “We’re thrilled that our Lantern Festival is back again this year, for selected evenings over the next few months. Following the success of last year’s event, we’ve amended the dates so we can host the event over the festive period, so there will be more chances for guests to see our incredible lanterns and even have the chance to meet Santa in his grotto.
“The lanterns team have been hard at work since October to set up the incredible trail of over a thousand individual lights. We’ve also got a new route for this year, which ends with a grand finale of a safari spectacle in the gardens of Spring Grove House. We can’t wait for families to see what we have in store for them.”
