Royal Performer Andrew Bourn Brings ‘Born to Swing’ to Worcester

After thrilling local audiences with a successful festive performance at Huntingdon Hall last December, acclaimed vocalist and entertainer Andrew Bourn returns to the city on Sunday 31st May with his acclaimed live show ‘Born to Swing’ at the Swan Theatre.

A spectacular night of timeless swing classics, charisma and big-band flair, ‘Born to Swing’ celebrates the elegance, romance and irresistible energy of one of music’s most loved eras whilst adding a sprinkle of swing to some modern day favourites too!

Andrew’s career has taken him to extraordinary heights — singing for and meeting King Charles III, performing at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, and sharing stages with stars including Katy Perry, Take That and The Jacksons. He first rose to national fame as part of Jack Pack, finalists on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, before releasing their Top 10 self-titled album.

Now touring theatres worldwide, luxury cruise lines and exclusive private events, Andrew has built a reputation as a true modern-day showman. He said: “Swing music has a timeless energy that instantly lifts people. I wanted to create a show that captures that magic and brings it to a theatre audience.”

Audiences can expect stunning vocals, humour, and behind-the-scenes stories from a remarkable career in entertainment. Andrew added: “The elegance and charm of swing music is something special. The lyrics tell magnificent stories rarely recreated in modern music. This show keeps the flame lit for that style and keeps a little romance and class on stage.”

Excited to perform at the Swan Theatre for the first time, Andrew says Worcester is “a wonderful town full of creativity.”
